LHDV pressure valves feature damping components for use with load-sensing spool valves. They act on return side of

double-acting cylinders and block return flow according to set pressure (setting about 15% above maximum load pressure), generating a force to counteract the load. Pump feeds inlet side, pressurizing cylinder to overcome set pressure of load-holding valve and drop the load. Shock valves and shuttle valves with or without a bypass check valve are optional.
